I'm ugly and fat - how can I possibly ever be happy with my body or me?
In my opinion, everything you need is going to happen on the inside. You've got a great place to start physically, but until you cut the negative self-talk and self-sabotage it will be difficult to shift into the healthy mindset that you deserve to have.
People are aware that what they put into their body can impact their health, but don't realize it is the same with the mind. Listen to the conversations you have with yourself and start to realize they are negative and turn them around. Self-esteem is your ability to deliver on your self-promises, but self-image is simply your perception on yourself. Changing both is easy, but takes time - for one, simply choose the new image and focus on it daily. Repetition and results can create faith and belief. For the self-esteem, start honoring your own promises. You'll be amazed at how confident you become when you don't sell yourself short.
I know ... just listen to my own experience:
