Should I not eat cottage cheese during the day?
You've probably heard that cottage cheese contains "casein" which is a "slow protein" and therefore is best to take at night, right?
Actually, it's not a problem to eat casein any time during the day!
All proteins are fine at all times. There is a lot of advertising and marketing hype about times when certain ones are better. While I agree, for example, that a slower-digesting protein may be superior at night than a faster-digesting one, it is far more important to consider your intake over the entire day and not the specific timing, etc.
Sometimes people will get lost in the details and suffer information paralysis. If you are blaming the time of day you eat your cottage cheese on lack of results, you're not ready to change. Change will happen when you're ready. People have been building natural, lean physiques for thousands of years without the science of fast or slow proteins and without ever touching a protein shake. You can, too!
