I heard that red meat is good for building muscle, but what do I do about all of the fat?

Fat doesn't keep you from staying lean while adding muscle ... calories do.
Beef and red meat is great for gaining muscle. I put on the most muscle in the shortest period of time when I was consuming regular portions of whole eggs, Canadian bacon, and ground beef.

To learn more about the truth behind fat, read Fat Lies. For a more in depth, interesting and alternate view about fats, try Fat Unhealthy Lies.

If you are serious about building muscle, nutrition is going to play a very important role. It was not until I spent months studying to become a Specialist in Performance Nutrition through the International Sports Sciences Association that I really began to understand how complex nutrition can be. Fortunately, you don't have to become an expert to see results. We have lots of resources on this website. For the real scoop on building muscle, I recommend a well-known nutritionist who has achieved phenomenal results with his clients, Will Brink. Read Will's article on Protein Myths that Just Won't Die. His book on the subject is called Bodybuilding Revealed.
