Welcome to Lose Fat, Not Faith. This is a website dedicated to the power of physique transformation. Here, you will find articles, tools, forums, galleries, products, and services dedicated to helping you become the lean, healthy, and energetic person you deserve to be. There are no magic pills, quick fixes, or gimmicks on this site. The information may seem overwhelming at first, so we offer you this guide to getting started.
If you are a fitness trainer, bodybuilder, athlete, or someone who already understands the elements of a healthy lifestyle, please feel free to jump in and begin taking a look around. A great place to start is our search engine.
For everyone else, here are the steps we suggest to get going with your new lifestyle.

Not sure what is possible? That's OK ... I, too, was skeptical when my wife first suggested that I could create a transformation in my own life. I'm glad I was wrong and she was right! Once upon a time, there was no website full of articles related to Weight Loss and Healthy Living. I've always had a passion for writing and after losing 65 pounds (30 kilograms) I knew that I could use this talent to share my story. The first step was an article that I wrote for an online magazine. This essay called 10 Fat Mistakes surprised everyone when it was quickly read and shared by tens of thousands of people around the world. I had planted a seed that quickly evolved. I discovered that people are sick and tired of crash diets, crazy exercises, and magic pills. 4. Lose Fat, Not Faith
Ten fat mistakes was only the beginning. When I thought about my transformation and what finally "clicked," I realized it had nothing to do with diet or exercise or even supplementation. The "click" came in my mind and had everything to do with an internal transformation. I had to change the way I thought and felt about myself to allow myself to create the physical change on the outside. This was powerful and not very many books addressed it. On June 23, 2003 I posted a blog entry on another website and asked the community what they felt was missing in the books available at that time. The response was unanimous: what about the mindset required to stay with the program? Lose Fat, Not Faith was born. It began as "Become the Journey" because I focused on the fact that it truly is the journey, not the destination, that counts. The book was released in digital form in June of 2004. In fact, I finished the book one day before loading everyone into the family wagon to move from Atlanta, Georgia to Lead, South Dakota in the beautiful Black Hills. We drove across the country and I released the book from a hotel room in St. Louis. Just over one year later, on July 4th, 2005, it was released in print and has sold copies in over a dozen countries around the world. It all starts with nutrition. That's the toughest part. When I participate in forums, I seldom hear people ask for feedback about their nutrition. Most of the time the posts read something like this: "I eat mostly clean and avoid junk food and stopped eating at fast food restaurants. What workout will help me get rid of my love handles?" While those steps are commendable, nutrition is a major part of a successful physique transformation. 6. Maximize Your Cardio
You know that cardio burns fat. You read that it is best to do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Then someone else says that's wrong and you should always eat first. One bodybuilder claims that high intensity interval training (HIIT) is the best way to burn fat, then another says that low intensity steady state cardio (LISS) is the way to go. Who is right? There are many benefits to strength training. Don't worry, you won't bulk up like a bodybuilder just by touching a barbell (if only it were that easy). Women can achieve a lean, toned body as well as men by adding a few simple but intense resistance training sessions every week.
